The importance of timely, accurate, and informative sales data is crucial to selling in 2023, so our big focus this year is on analytics. We’re bringing you more slices of data to make more informed decisions on where to focus your team's time.
The very first update in one of many improvements coming to Qwilr’s analytics capability this year - pipeline report has just landed.
Tracking pipeline with Qwilr allows any organization to gain a better understanding of how deals are progressing through the funnel. Over time, using Qwilr’s Pipeline report, sales leaders and their teams can understand the effectiveness of their sales process.
Here at Qwilr, pipeline health is something we’re obsessed with, and is what our RevOps Manager, Dustin Martin tracks closely: “Any additional insight a sales team can get into their own sales process is a competitive edge over their competition. This is why every sales org should be tracking their pipeline as closely as possible. Making informed decisions requires good data and in sales, that good data often stems from high-quality pipeline tracking.”
Internally, we’re using Qwilr’s new pipeline report to track our own pipeline health, and to calculate sales velocity. “Qwilr's pipeline report allows us to see a unique view of pipeline that is actually related to proposals sent out. This enables us to see whether or not we are sharing the right sales material with the right people at the appropriate time.”
Here’s the breakdown of what Qwilr’s new pipeline report/analytics functionality means to you.
Your page pipeline at a glance
Qwilr’s new pipeline report gives sales teams a complete view of their page funnel. Use the insights in team meetings to analyse and act on draft, live, accepted and declined proposals.
The funnel view calculates the average time from when a page goes from draft, to live, to then closed. Whereas status gives you a snapshot of how many pages are draft, live, accepted, or declined.
We’ve all attended meetings that require a lot of prep work to get the latest reports and correct data. Live pipeline view will allow your team to really focus on things that matter, use real data points during team meetings and adjust pace immediately.
Sales velocity calculation
You’ll notice we have a new calculation on the right-hand side called Sales Velocity. Sales velocity is the speed at which deals move through your pipeline. Sales teams use the velocity calculation to understand overall effectiveness and use it as a data point to determine whether a change of sales strategy is required.
Try the Qwilr Sales Velocity Calculator and compare your sales performance against benchmark data from 800+ B2B companies, with recommendations on how to speed up sales cycles and increase win rates.
Report filtering and collection
A collection is a group of pages with predefined filters that allows you to view your pipeline by different use cases. Let’s say you create a lot of different pages within Qwilr like marketing material, client reporting, client proposals and quotes. If you’re only interested in seeing your “transactional” pages, meaning the pages that customers can sign and pay, you can filter that by using the page collection function.
You can now filter by how many pages are live that have a quote on them, or how many pages are live that still need to be signed and accepted. Or simply filter by ‘Value’ to understand which pages that are collecting money are accepted or declined.
Page collections can be saved to make sure you always have the report you use the most at hand. You can exclude pages that have not been accepted or declined from the page collections, so you can clearly see the relevant data.
Drill into further detail
You can track improvements over time using the history charts: understand whether you’re selling at more volume one month over another. You can also report on page count and page value.
Within the more detailed sales velocity graph, you’ll understand how sales velocity changes over time and use it as a data point to investigate further.
Qwilr’s new pipeline report provides a complete view of how your deals are moving through the pipeline empowering you to have meaningful conversations with your team and adjust strategies as needed. Clever filtering options add more flexibility
You can filter the reports by week, month, quarterly, or yearly to get a broader understanding of your pipeline.
Or filter by rep and currency to get an understanding of where pages might be stuck for individual reps on your team. This configuration and filtering is intuitive and easy and can be done even during the team meeting to really dig into the data that matters.
Many of our customers operate and report their results in different markets and currencies. The pipeline report can be viewed in any currency and timezone you need, and you can even filter the reports by a specific team member.
